As we reported last week, MTV has been working on figuring out the best way to help with the Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. MTV's parent company, Viacom, has already donated $1 million to the cause, and now MTV has announced an on-air fundraiser that will feature the Jersey Shore cast front and center.

On next Thursday, November 15, MTV will air "Restore the Shore," which they describe as "a LIVE on-air, online and mobile special that will feature the cast of Jersey Shore and other celebrity guests."

The event will focus on raising funds for Seaside Heights. The town that we all know and love from seasons of Jersey Shore has been devastated by the storm. Many homes and businesses have been completely destroyed.

This fundraiser will focus on raising funds to "aid in the longer term effort to repair and revitalize" the area through the efforts of the non-profit Architecture for Humanity.

We love that the Jersey Shore cast are so devoted to giving back to the community that welcomed them every summer.

Learn how to help victims of Hurricane Sandy here.

Catch the next new episode of Jersey Shore on Thursday, November 8 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
