So, clearly, the denizens of New Jersey are pissed. Their not-so-beloved macaroni rascals are now officially sucking up tax payer money. New Jersey's Economic Development Authority okayed $420,000 of tax money to go towards covering production costs on Jersey Shore. Of course, to Jerseyites, this seems to translate to paying for Snooki's tanning and The Situation's gym membership, but the mayor of Seaside Heights insists that having the cast in town is actually a total revenue boost.

Realistically, $420,000 isn't a huge chunk of tax change, but we get it. We'd feel slighted, too, if our money were going towards covering the costs of MTV-subsidized booze for their biggest cash cow.
