During last night’s Restore the Shore Hurricane Sandy relief telethon, the cast of the Jersey Shore was shown revisiting their old stomping grounds to take a close look at the devastation to their second home Seaside Heights. Needless to say, the sights were very grave and had a big impact on the gang.

“That’s the whole boardwalk right now, in a crane,” Pauly D observed, as they looked down at the wrecked boardwalk. “I’m looking at it, and I’m like, I still can’t believe it’s real. Now, here’s something that we’ve partied on, walked on, danced on, did everything. Like, it’s just a happy place. And then to see it gone, it’s like dead silence.”

“Music Express gone … roller coaster gone. Haunted house gone,” The Situation observed. “Everything that I’ve grown to love is gone,” added Ronnie.

“When we’d come here, all you’d hear is laughing, kids laughing, having a good time, going on rides, like families having a good time,” the very somber Pauly continued, “and look at it now. It looks like a horror movie.”

Sammi Sweetheart said that after seeing the scene, she only hopes their efforts can help it bring it back “close to what it was.”
