As we reported yesterday, although the Jersey Shore house seems to have survived Hurricane Sandy intact, the beloved Shore Store, where the castmates "labored" away while filming seasons in Seaside, was not so lucky. But never fear, guys. Shore Store owner (and boss) Danny Merk plans to get things back into tip-top shape.

ABC reports that while Seaside authorities are currently keeping people out of the town, Danny, who is currently in Florida with family, plans to get to work fixing up the store (and any damage the Shore House did suffer) as soon as he's allowed back in.

"I saw some pictures people sent me," Danny said. "My store’s gates are crashed in. There’s no boardwalk. I don’t even understand how bad it is yet." He added that the devastation from Sandy is particularly heartbreaking because the town had been doing so well thanks to the profile boost from Jersey Shore.

To end this story on a more positive note, fans will be happy to hear that the Jersey Shore cast reached out to Danny to see how he's doing in the wake of the storm.

"They’ve all been calling and worried about me — even [ex-cast member] Angelina," he explained. Aww.
