The annual Night of Too Many Stars charity event, which aims to raise money for autism research, took place on October 13 in New York. Tons of bold-faced names typically attend, and the event aired on Comedy Central last night (October 21).

So why didn’t Jersey Shore represent?

Turns out, Sammi and JWOWW did participate in the show, but there really were too many stars. Before the show began, Sammi re-tweeted this message from an MTV rep: “#nightoftoomanystars is on Comedy Central! Catch my girls @JENNIWOWW and @MTVsammi along with tons of awesome comedians and more! #donatenow

But a few hours later, after the show came and went, Sammi tweeted, “Well guess we got cut out, either way it was for a good cause! Maybe you guys will see@JENNIWOWW n I another time soon! Xo.”

How sad! Do you think it’s okay that Sam and JWOWW got cut in favor of celebs like Nick Offerman and Jerry Seinfeld? Or were you watching just to see them? Tell us in the comments!

Catch the next new episode of Jersey Shore on Thursday, October 25 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
