JWOWW Reveals Her New Perfume & Talks ''Lighter, More Fun'' Jersey Shore Season 5 - Exclusive
Jersey Shore’s JWOWW is a very busy lady. The reality star already has a successful self-tanning line under her belt and now she is adding an eponymous perfume to her growing beauty empire.
A massive crowd of Jersey Shore fans showed up at Kmart in New York City’s Astor Place on November 29 to meet JWOWW and check out the launch of her new perfume, JWOWW by Jenni Farley. After two hours of signing autographs and posing for pictures, Jenni sat down for an exclusive interview with Wetpaint Entertainment, where she talked about her new fragrance, the cast’s tricky relationship with The Situation, and her new spin-off with Snooki.
The creation of Jenni’s scent started at the beginning of the year. “We started brainstorming fragrance and design ideas in February,” Jenni tells us. “But I had to take a break to film the show for four months.” Once she was done, she and her team finally found the right combination of notes – a mix of citrus and pear with just a touch of musk. “I knew I didn’t want a heavy musk or a deep, nighttime-like scent. I wanted something fresh and sweet, something you could wear during the day or at night. I knew exactly what I wanted and I didn’t stop looking until I smelled it.”
She even helped pal Snooki narrow down her choices for her new perfume, Snooki by Nicole Polizzi, which launched earlier this year. “We tested scents together over the summer,” Jenni reveals.
So does that mean the two best friends – who had a big blow-up while filming in Italy for Season 4 – are back on track? “Oh god, yeah!” Jenni laughs. “We went out for dinner right after the reunion. We’re fine.”
The two reality stars are also set to start filming their own spin-off show in January – although Jenni’s in the dark as to what they’ll be doing. “It’s about us and our friendship, but I don’t know much else. We may be living together. I’m not sure.”
In the meantime, she thinks fans will be pleasantly surprised with Season 5 of Jersey Shore, which kicks off Thursday, January 5. “It’s a different vibe than viewers have seen recently,” she reveals. “Italy was so heavy and so draining – it was like Miami. This season is a lot lighter and a lot more fun.”
Even with Mike around? “Look, everyone can be a pain in the ass when we film. We literally eat, breathe and sleep on top of each other. But we get space when we’re apart. Just like with Nicole at the reunion show, I was mad at Mike, but I still love him. I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
She wouldn’t mind, however, taking the show on the road again. “I would definitely want to stay in the [US] this time. Italy was tough on everyone, even the crew. Being so far away from our families and the time difference, the language difference and the different customs was rough. I think it’d be fun if MTV would get us a motor home and we’d all drive around the country together.”
