With rumors swirling that Jersey Shore Season 6 will be the final season for the original eight castmates, Chris Linn, MTV’s executive VP of programming, is weighing in on what to expect from our favorite guidos and guidettes as they film what could be their last summer in Seaside Heights.

Chris tells Entertainment Weekly, “They’re starting to take those next steps into adulthood.” He says, “What’s going to be different this season is how much their lives had changed.”

So how will Snooki’s pregnancy, The Situation’s new sober life, and JWOWW, Sammi, Ronnie, and Deena Nicole’s committed relationships affect the dynamic in Season 6? JS creator SallyAnn Salsano tells EW that we should expect “a different kind of entertaining.” Apparently the entire cast has spent the week making jokes about Snooki’s mini-meatball and The Situation’s sobriety.

Speaking of Snooki, Chris says, “I know she’s concerned about the perception of her being a pregnant woman in a party house. I think that’s a common experience among a group of friends when somebody gets pregnant. This is an opportunity to see how she deals with it and how the rest of the house deals with it.”

Chris also reveals that, at least from his point of view, “drinking was never a problem for [The Situation].” We assume he’s referring to Mike’s proclivity for prescription pills, which are what he reportedly went to rehab for.
