True or false: If you’re a hot guy, all you have to do is put on a t-shirt and you’ll always look hot. Let’s just say that, based on Pauly D and Justin Bieber’s respective t-shirts at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards, the answer is: It’s complicated.

The Biebs went for a long, slim-fitting camouflage t-shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a henley neckline. He paired the shirt with whiter-than-white jeans, and put some major product in his spiky hair.

Pauly, on the other hand, went for a slightly more masculine look. Showing off some major muscles, the Jersey Shore star wore a black t-shirt with “Fresh” emblazoned on the front in hot pink. Yes, Pauly somehow makes hot pink look hot — on a guy.
