Is it possible that Ronnie, who reportedly earns $80,000 per episode of Jersey Shore, can’t afford to pay his bills?

That’s the gist of a story in the New York Post, which reports that Ronnie and his family are $30,000 in debt to Embroidme, a garment-printing service that allegedly “produced more than 12,000 pieces of apparel, including T-shirts, sandals, bags, towels and water bottles tagged with the word ‘Smush’” for Ronnie’s new Shore Store in the Bronx.

“They’re disgusting,” says Maria Emma, who runs Embroidme. “I’m getting stop-payment checks. I can’t even write payroll checks to my employees.” According to Maria, she completed a rush job on all of the above merchandise in order to have everything Ronnie wanted in stock for the store’s May opening.

“Rushed is an understatement,” Maria continues. “We didn’t sleep. We moved all of the products aside. We treated it like it was our own company … Everything was delivered months ago, and they’re making money off it.”

Ronnie didn’t comment personally, but his spokeswoman tells the Post, “The checks being referenced did not bounce but were canceled due to the poor quality of some of the shirts and the turnaround time promised not being honored.”

We adore Ronnie and always will, but we wonder if he couldn’t just throw a little money at the problem. At $80k per episode, when Jersey Shore typically runs for 13 episodes per season, the muscle-clad guido should have over $1 million in the bank now that Season 6 wrapped filming.

But hey, you can take a boy out of the Bronx, but you can’t take the Jersey Shore out of the guido.

UPDATE: Ronnie's rep gave Wetpaint Entertainment the following exclusive statement.

"Ronnie has been away filming at the Jersey Shore, he has had no knowledge of this situation as his business management team have been the ones handling the store's merchandise. Ronnie only has nice things to say about Maria Emma and its unfortunate that this is being taken out on him in any way. I can assure you it will be resolved."
