Snooki is counting down the days until she heads to Italy by quickly slimming down for Season 4. Her weight loss thus far has been pretty impressive, considering how hard it must be for her to give up the Long Islands and pizza. But, Snooki's been drinking lots of water and hitting the gym with a trainer and from her recent Facebook pics we see her hard work is definitely paying off.
The 4'9" Jersey Shore star revealed that when the series started, she tipped the scales at 100 pounds and felt great about herself. A couple of summers of hardcore Shore partying later, and, well, Snooki was steadily growing into the muffin top we think of her as today. But, she's determined to get back to a buff, curvy frame before the cast hits Italy (where the temptation of committing carbicide will hit whole new levels).
What are the pint-sized guidettes dieting secrets? "[I have] egg whites in the morning and chicken and salads," she told People Magazine. She's also trying out Zumba dance classes to supplement her workouts.
And, of course, the big secret is trading in her hi-cal cocktails for low-cal vodka selzers. Snooki noted that one of her old favorites, margaritas, "are, like, a million calories." We assume that's an official Weight Watchers calorie count.
Snooki knows Italy is going to be a challenge, and didn't hide her anxiety about what filming there for a couple of months would do to her diet regimen. "All we're gonna eat is pasta," she said. "I'm very, very scared – drinking wine and having spaghetti all day [would] throw me off course."
No worries, Snooks. We hear Italy's secret is a mastery of portion control. Feel free to indulge in the occasional risotto dish.
