Is it possible that, underneath all that bravado and machismo, The Situation is really a romantic at heart? In a new interview with the Las Vegas Sun, he’s certainly trying to convince people that he’s a truly romantic dude.

Describing his ideal Valentine’s Day, he said “I have it all planned. The ideal Valentine’s Day date with the Situation — I’m big with gifts, and I definitely like puppies,” he said. “So, I would definitely bring a puppy to the mix, plus candy, roses and even some jewelry. We would definitely go to a swank, nice restaurant first, then she’d be with me in the DJ booth at RPM in Tropicana, and after that, we would have dessert at my place.”

Honestly? That doesn’t sound half bad (if, of course, Mike is your dream date). But then, typically, he kind of spoils the whole image. When asked who he would most like to spend Valentine’s Day with this year, he said “I discovered you’ve got all the Sports Illustrated swimsuit models in Vegas while I’m there. I don’t know which ones are going to be in town, but hopefully I can show them around if they don’t know their way.”

We wish him luck — with love, and with his dreams to have his own spin-off show, just like Pauly D, Snooki, and JWOWW.

“It just depends on if one of the networks decides to see if they want to go which way or the other,” he said. “There definitely is [a spin-off] with myself. I’m just figuring it out, and they’re deciding which direction it will be, and then we’re going to go that way.”

That’s a pretty wordy and nonsensical answer, isn’t it? Somehow, we think Mike will have better luck getting a cover girl to go home with him.
