If you can look past the iffy title, Vinny’s new book actually sounds a little inspiring.

In Control the Crazy: My Plan to Stop Stressing, Avoid Drama and Maintain Your Inner Cool, Vinny speaks out about his Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), something he has struggled with for most of his life. Unlike normal bouts of stress surrounding a specific task, or that butterflies-in-your-stomach feeling we get before a first date, Vinny says:

“[GAD] can be very easily mistaken for being homesick or a bad mood or a funk. But sometimes at points it can actually be a serious thing that requires therapy, that requires a change of your situation. It requires a certain kinds of tools that release serotonin to your brain, you know? That’s all part of my program to get better.”

The book, which is out on April 17, is notably different from the tomes his fellow Jersey Shore castmates have written. The Situation put out a fitness book, JWOWW’s book was a guidette guide to dating, and Snooki recently came out with a quasi-autobiography about her likes and dislikes (and weird adventures in cat litter beauty).
