Remember that pic of Snooki looking pretty in animal print with a tool in one hand and a mask covering her mouth? The pretty guidette couldn’t resist dressing as a “flirty feline” while doing some manual labor. It was of course for a very important cause, as Snooki was helping United Way with a special construction project in conjunction with MTV’s Spring Fix benefit concert.
For the big event in March, back when Snooks still had her fabulous red hair, she met up with college kids and some of her Jersey Shore castmates to help rebuild Staten Island homes devastated by Hurricane Sandy. The cast also got together for the Spring Fix benefit concert at a local Six Flags amusement park, reuniting to help raise money for the reconstruction project.
In the video below, Snooki enters the house she’s about to help rebuild in her Snerdz glasses and a hat with leopard print ears (naturally), looking pretty hesitant as fellow volunteers hand her some tools. “What is this?” she asks in confusion when handed a big yellow nail gun. “I’m scared.” The volunteer shows her how to use it, though it takes her a bit of practice before she gets the hang of it.
Snooks shared how glad she was to be there with some awesome students that chose to help out instead of “going crazy” on their spring break, something she definitely did back in her day. We’re proud of her for stepping up and helping out, even though she had some trouble learning how to use the tools.
“I’m not a builder,” she admitted to the volunteers. “I’m more of like a sweeper.” Yeah, we never thought we’d see the day either!
