Damage From Hurricane Sandy in Seaside Heights, New Jersey: Casino Pier Roller Coaster
When we think of the Shore, we imagine the Jersey Shore cast getting drunk on the boardwalk and having a blast on the rollercoasters.
Unfortunately Seaside Heights, NJ isn't as carefree of a place right now. The beachside town was right in the path of Sandy and was badly hit a few weeks ago. NBC news reporter Brian Thompson was able to capture the devastation in Seaside Heights, which included the complete destruction of the boardwalk roller coaster and log ride, and many local businesses.
The Shore house itself is fine, but the cast is upset about their summer town getting badly hit. Considering that Sandy’s damage will end up costing Seaside lots of money, maybe the cast can help out in raising funds to help patch up the town. The cast will be hosting a MTV telethon today, November 15, to raise money for the repair and recovery of Seaside.
