We love the Duggar gals, but we wouldn’t say we keep up with them for their fashion choices.

Apparently, some people do, though, as Jessa Duggar Seewald is set to be a guest speaker on the topic in June — and the appearance is causing some serious backlash.

On June 24, the 24-year-old is speaking at Heavenly Highway Tabernacle for a segment titled “Fashionably Modest With Jessa.”

Apparently, the purpose of the engagement is for the mother of two to offer up style advice for those who want to remain conservative and stylish.

That all sounds fine, except that she’s charging fans $20 a pop for the Ohio gig, which also features a lunch and a meet and and greet.

And, as pointed out by RadarOnline.com, this isn’t going over well with the 19 Kids and Counting alum’s fanbase, who see her as cashing in on her conservatism.

Many detractors spoke out on the Duggar Family blog, with one writing, “Being paid to talk about your modest lifestyle seems like an oxymoron.”

Another chimes in, “It feels immodest to talk about how modest you are.”

That’s not the only criticism Jessa received — some even accuse her of not being as modest as she should be!

“Will Jessa be discussing modest attire while pregnant? Everyone has seen her too tight, overstretched T-shirts hardly modest,” another follower states.

Time will tell as to whether this will have an affect on the attendance.

One thing is for sure, though — husband Ben Seewald and sons Spurgeon and Henry won’t be there.

According to the regulations of the event, “men, infants and children under the age of 9 will be regretfully ineligible to attend.”
