Jessica Simpson’s “Extravagant” Summer Wedding — Today’s the Day!

Update (July 5, 2014): The big day is finally here! According to Us Weekly, Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson will get married Saturday, July 5 at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, CA. Guests are said to include Jess' parents, Tina and Joe Simpson; sister Ashlee Simpson and her fiance Evan Ross; and Jess' best friend CaCee Cobb and husband Donald Faison, among others. Jessica and Eric's two children — Maxwell, 2, and son Ace, 13 months — are also expected to play a role in the ceremony. People shared details on the couple's pre-wedding Fourth of July barbecue in Santa Barbara. And E! News dished on the rehearsal dinner. It's like another royal wedding!

Update (June 25, 2014):

The location is set! Jessica and Erica are getting hitched at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California, according to In Touch. As for her dress, the magazine reports it’ll be a pale custom-made Marchesa gown and in an unconventional color: pink! We can hardly wait for the photos!

Original story (May 19, 2014):

The day is almost upon us! Nearly four years after Eric Johnson asked Jessica Simpson to be his wedded wife, the two are finally getting hitched. Why the delay to get to the alter? Ask Maxwell Drew and Ace Knute.

Jessica, mother of two, is over the moon about finally saying “I do” to her NFL hunk. She gushed about the pending nuptials while stopping by The Today Show on May 19.

“It will definitely be extravagant,” she said of the wedding, which will be hosted in Santa Barbara, California, this summer. “I don’t do things small.”

We wouldn’t expect anything else from this glam goddess. Do you remember her candlelit affair when she wore white the first time round? However, there will be one huge difference between that televised Newlyweds affair and Jessica’s second wedding, and we don’t mean the absence of Nick Lachey. Jess says she’s officially sweared off any more reality TV shows!

Telling Lance Bass — who would be our go-to confessor if, you know, he’d ever return our emails — she “would absolutely not do reality TV again,” the pop diva added she feels “blessed” to have had Newlyweds in her life. We do too, Jess!

What do you think Jessica and Eric have planned for their big day?
