UPDATE (1/16/18 at 12:54 p.m. ET):

Bethenny Frankel supported her former friend Jill Zarin at Bobby Zarin’s funeral earlier this week.

The 54-year-old revealed she had a nice conversation with the Skinnygirl creator.

“When we talked, she said, ‘I loved Bobby.’ She said, ‘I got very emotional, I didn’t expect that and I cried,’” Jill told People.

“Bobby loved Bethenny [and] thought a lot of what happened was my fault. He said, ‘You don’t have to be best friends, but you should be friends,’” she continued.

“When I told Bethenny how scared I was to be alone, she said, ‘Don’t be scared. I’m alone.’ I said, ‘Yeah, but you have your daughter. My daughter grew up. You still have your baby.’”

She continued, “It was warm, it was nice. It was sincere. I feel like Bobby is now saying, ‘Thank God it’s over. Over and done.’”

Jill Zarin paid an emotional tribute to her husband Bobby saying there was a "hole in her heart" just before he was laid to rest in New York.

The 71-year-old's funeral took place this morning at Riverside Memorial Chapel.

Last night the Real Housewives of New York star took to Instagram and said, "Rest In Peace my love. Words can not express the hole in my heart.

"Bobby taught me what true and deep love is. Thank you my love for sharing your life with me...

"For raising Allyson as if she was your own, being an amazing father and grandfather and teaching me how to be a better person.

"You inspire those around you to be the best they can be.

"I will never forget you...your legacy lives on through your beautiful children and grandchildren."

She paid special thanks to those who were there for her during Bobby's long battle with cancer.

"Thank you to all our friends, family and fans for the most incredible love you have shown our family.

"The messages bring tears to my eyes and will continue reading them all in the coming weeks."

Many of the Housewives also took to social media to pay tribute to Jill's beloved husband.

Bethenny Frankel said, "Here's to those that wish us well, all the rest can go to hell.

"One of Bobby Zarin’s favorites. #RIP"

Ramona Singer posted, "My heart goes out to you @mrsjillzarin & your family....Bobby will be greatly missed by all.

"He was a very special person. Bobby - The love and memory of you shall never pass away."

Andy Cohen said, "I always enjoyed Bobby Zarin and admired his cool presence and steady hand.

"My condolences to @Jill Zarin and the whole family. #RIP."

The 54-year-old even buried the hatchet with her former friend Bethenny Frankel by inviting her to the funeral.

A source told Radar, "Jill feels that life is too short and holding onto hate and ugly feelings just isn’t worth it.

"She wants to remember all the good times and there was a time when Bobby and Bethenny were very close.

"When Bethenny had no money, Bobby was great to her. And if it wasn’t for Bobby and Jill, Bethenny would never have been cast on the Bravo Housewives show."

Jill Zarin's husband Bobby has passed away aged 71 after a long battle with cancer.

The Real Housewives of New York star posted a statement on her website revealing Bobby died on Saturday, January 13th and the family were, understandably, devastated.

The 71-year-old was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2009 and then a brain tumor in 2016.

The statement said, "With the heaviest of hearts, we are devastated to share the news that our beloved Bobby Zarin passed away peacefully today surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer.

"There are no words to describe how heartbroken we are.

"Thank you, everyone, for all your love and support during this difficult time."

Bobby had been plagued with health issues since his first cancer diagnosis in 2006.

He received radiation treatment and had his thyroid removed.

He told People at the time, "The radioactive iodine usually kills off whatever undetectable cancer cells are left in your body after surgery.

We thought it was cured – and it usually is in about 93 percent of cases.

"But I wasn’t able to absorb the radioactive iodine. So it came back.”

When the cancer returned, it spread to his lungs. Then he was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2016.

His stepdaughter Aly Shapiro posted a touching tribute to Bobby on Instagram after the news.

She wrote, "Thank you for giving me such a wonderful family and being the most incredible step-Dad anyone could ever ask for.

"I don’t remember a time without you, and you will not be forgotten.

"Every shot of patron, every time we listen to Hotel California, every vroom of a Ferrari you will be right there with us.

"You fought with dignity and courage, surrounded by all of us with love and respect till the very end.

"You can rest In peace now, we love you so much."

Wife Jill always remained hopeful Bobby would get through his battle.

But over the summer, she revealed his cancer "took an unexpected return" and he was admitted to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

Jill never left his side.

During her Annual Luxury Luncheon at her Hamptons home, she told Wetpaint they weren't giving up the fight but hoping for a miracle.

During the event, she FaceTimed Bobby in hospital and he seemed to be in good spirits.

The couple just celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary in January, when Jill took to Instagram to post a hopeful message.

"Happy 18th! Anniversary to the love of my life Bobby Zarin. Bobby is the most perfect man I know.

"He never loses anything, never forgets anything and when I think he is wrong... he is always right!

"I will post some photos over the last 20 years... truly a Love Story. Enjoy!

RIP Bobby Zarin. Our thoughts and prayers are with your friends and family at this difficult time.
