Jo Rivera Defends Himself Against Protestors: “I’m All For Equality”

Jo Rivera isn't having a good week. Partially because peeps keep calling him Jo Rivera instead of his rapper name, Nerd In A Cool Kid's Body, but mostly because he responded negatively to his son Isaac's involvement in a pro-LGBT photoshoot.

Isaac took part in said photoshoot with his mom, Teen Mom 2's Kailyn Lowry, and her husband, Javi Marroquin, and he was featured in a particular pic of Javi posing with another man wearing full makeup. Surprisingly, when a fan asked Jo if the picture made him "sick," he responded "yes it does.. Even Isaac is like wtf is going on here.."

Fans have been shocked by Jo's negative response to the picture, which stands up for LGBT rights and gay marriage. In fact, The NOH8 campaign even threw in their two cents, telling RadarOnline that "Children learn about love and acceptance at an early age and setting an example by standing up for equality is one of the most important things a parent can do for their child."

The good news? It looks like Jo's had a change of heart, and he wants fans to know he's 100% in support of equal rights for the LGBT community. Then again, he's still not on board with Isaac's photoshoot...

"I'm all for equality," Jo tweeted on June 14. "But I don't see how that photo has anything to do with representing equality."

Well, the photoshoot was of a "gay wedding" (and thus represents gay rights) — but we can see why Jo might be confused. After all, he wasn't there for the shoot itself!

Are you satisfied with this dude's response? Weigh in below!
