Miami Housewife Joanna Krupa Talks Protesting Against Kardashian-Owned Dash For Selling Fur Vests
Real Housewives of Miami star Joanna Krupa has gotten into a lot of drama with the ladies on her show. But it turns out that she has also been involved in drama with some other reality stars over a much more important cause.
Joanna is passionate about animal activism, and she tells National Geographic that she recently protested against the store Dash — which is owned by the Kardashian family — for selling fur clothing.
"I helped organized a protest against the Kardasian-owned Dash retail clothing store for their selling of a fur vests earlier this year," Joanna says. "That turned out successful and they stopped selling fur!" Way to go, Joanna!
So what made Joanna get involved in animal rights? "I was always a huge animal lover, but it wasn’t until 2005, when I saw a life-changing video of the fur trade and how innocent animals suffer," Joanna explains. "It was after that video that I essentially became an avid animal rights activist."
Joanna started a non-profit with another activist called Angels for Animal Rescue, and they are raising money for their cause with a fundraiser later this month. "I save those who are truly in need of rescuing," Joanna says. "I am an animal rescuer."
Are you surprised that Joanna is so involved in helping animals?
