Bachelorette 2015 Spoilers: Who Is Contestant Joe Bailey?

One of the most interesting parts of the Bachelorette Season 11 premiere coming up on May 18 is getting a peek at the guys for the first time, of course. And within that first bit, we’ll also be able to pick which ones we think would be more of Kaitlyn Bristowe‘s type, and which might vibe better with Britt Nilsson. With that in mind, please meet newly announced contestant, Joe Bailey.

Joe is a 28-year-old from Columbia, Kentucky who makes his home in Glasgow, Kentucky. In case you’re not exactly up to snuff on your Kentucky geography, that’s almost exactly halfway between Louisville and Nashville, Tennessee, close to the border between KY and TN. We bet Joe is really familiar with the region, though, considering he attended the University of Tennessee Martin, just a little ways west of Nashville and north of Memphis. He played on the basketball team at UT-Martin, so he likely spent plenty of time in busses heading for road games in the region.

Why do we bring this up? Because somehow in his KY-TN time, he’s also managed to connect with one Miss Andi Dorfman, and the two are Facebook friends. So, either he’s meandered over to Atlanta sometime during his Southern tenure, or he was a fan of the show before auditioning. Perhaps if dating this season’s gal on the show doesn’t work out, he’ll be able to venture to Andi’s new NYC hometown and connect with her over their shared Southern roots.

But back to Joe, the 6-foot-2 former point guard majored in marketing and pre-dental, according to his basketball stats card, relayed by Reality Steve. His bright white smile makes a lot more sense now, but we’re not sure what part of the State Farm agent’s background has led to his Ryan Bowers-looking hair. Put down the product, man, and slowly back away.

If you want to see more pictures of his hair, you can find him on Facebook, check him on self-effacing Twitter handle joebaileysego, or wait until his Instagram is accessible, sometime after the show starts airing.

What do you think of Joe Bailey: Southern gentleman or just another cutie?
