Girls Gone Wild Creator Joe Francis Sentenced to Jail Time for Assault
Wetpaint Entertainment has just learned that Joe Francis, creator of “Girls Gone Wild,” will serve jail time for assaulting a woman in his home.
In a TMZ live audio stream of his August 27 court appearance, the judge sentenced Joe to serve at least 270 days in county jail. In addition to the jail time, Joe faces a 36-month probation and mandatory anger management counseling, including a year of weekly psychological counseling (we assume that will be at his expense).
Joe was charged with assault, false imprisonment, and dissuading a witness from reporting, each charge stemming from an incident in which three women claim Joe would not let them leave his home and at one point “choke-slammed” one of his accusers into his tile floor.
