Joe Giudice Fraud Trial Delayed — When Will He Be in Court Next?
Joe Giudice has been waiting for his fraud trial to begin for several months, and today he got another lucky break when the trial was once again postponed to October 28, 2013. According to RadarOnline Joe appeared in court on July 15, wearing a black blazer and white shirt as his lawyer asked the judge to delay the trial because he had a conflict with another case. Judge Gooden Brown agreed, but not before getting in a little dig at the reality star.
“I’m sorry. I don’t watch the show,” the judge said when he asked how to pronounce Joe’s last name.
Joe was charged with fraud a few years ago when he used the identity of his brother, Pietro, to obtain a driver’s license after his was suspended. Tre’s hubby had previously rejected a plea deal — which included some time behind bars — but if he is convicted after the trial finally begins he could spend up to 10 years in prison.
However, Joe’s attorney Miles Feinstein remains confident that his client won’t be convicted of anything. “As I’ve said from the beginning of this case, the plea and the charges in this case are disparate because of Joe’s so-called ‘celebrity,’”
