Joe Giudice Thought He Could Face Up to 100 Years in Prison (VIDEO)

Ever since Teresa and Joe Giudice were charged with 39 counts of federal fraud, we’ve been waiting to hear if they will be forced to serve the maximum sentence of 50 years in prison.

And though their trial doesn’t begin until February 2014, the Giudices are sitting down with Andy Cohen for a special interview following Sunday’s Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 5 finale.

In this new sneak peek clip, we see Joe talking about the maximum prison sentence, and it turns out he thought it was much worse.

“I thought it was 100? I think it was like 50 per...” Joe trails off.

“No it was 50 all together, honey,” Teresa corrects him. “That’s what they state in the magazines.”

Whatever the amount, it would likely be for the rest of the Giudices’ lives. So right now their lawyers are preparing a case to help their clients out.

Andy’s 30-minute interview is the first in-depth look into the Giudices’ struggles since the charges were announced this summer.

Watch What Happens Live: One-On-One With Teresa and Joe Giudice airs Sunday, Sept. 29 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
