Good news, people! The assault charges against Chris and Jacqueline Laurita and Joe Gorga have officially been dropped. Local news website, North Jersey, confirmed yesterday that an agreement was reached at the courthouse yesterday that allowed The Real Housewives of New Jersey trio to walk out free.
"Over the last week, a deal was brokered between lawyers for Housewives star Jacqueline Laurita, her husband Christopher, and Joe Gorga — all of Franklin Lakes — and the attorney representing John Karagiorgis to have the charges dismissed," the site reports.
The Jersey stars were standing before the judge for allegedly beating up Johnny the Greek at an event for the opening of Posche 2. The fight broke out after Joe confronted Johnny for spreading rumors about his wife, Melissa Gorga. Meanwhile, the Lauritas had some beef of their own with him for trying to say that their son, Nicholas, isn't really autistic. According to witnesses, Jacqueline attacked him with her stiletto.
But, now that all is said and done, Jacqueline took to Twitter to claim that the heel incident was a fabrication.
"I don't know any man that would lie about a woman hitting him with a shoe! #neverhappened," she wrote, later adding, "Case was dismissed4a reason!Disgusting that He lied about me hitting him w/a shoe!It never happened!I didnt do that!Raw footage proves that!"
Tune in to the RHoNJ season finale to see the brawl for yourself, which conveniently airs this Sunday!
