Joe Kirkland Talks the Battle Rounds vs. the Knockout Rounds on The Voice Season 3

There are so many crazy things happening on The Voice this season. Christina’s changing her hair color regularly, Cee Lo’s got a pink cockatoo, and oh yeah — the “steals” in the battle rounds and the brand new knockout rounds!

If you were surprised by the announcement of next week’s knockout round, just imagine how the contestants felt when they recorded them earlier this year!

After winning his battle round against reggae singer Samuel Mouton, Team Adam contestant Joe Kirkland spoke with Wetpaint Entertainment about the daunting task ahead.

You might be surprised to see which round he favors.

“In the knockout round, you sing your own song and it’s your comfort zone,” he revealed. “I actually enjoyed the challenge of the battle a little bit more. I would say the battle was a little more difficult. I feel like I thrive under the pressure of making something mine.”

The rock band frontman was disappointed that his battle round was montaged when it aired last Monday, but he’s excited for the experience thus far.

Who do you think Joe will be paired with for the knockout round? List your guesses in the comments below!
