True Blood’s Joe Manganiello to Heat Up Stage as Stanley in “A Streetcar Named Desire”
We know all our True Blood fans worship Alcide’s killer abs, but Joe Manganiello can do more than growl, kick ass, and look gorgeous! The handsome actor is classically trained, and is set to star in the Yale Repertory Theatre’s production of A Streetcar Named Desire as the temperamental Stanley Kowalski.
This isn’t the first time Joe has stepped into the role of the troubled and macho Stanley: He also starred in the play at the West Virginia Public Theater in 2008, and our favorite werewolf is excited to go back to his roots. Manganiello has been re-tweeting announcements that tickets are on sale, and recently told The Wall Street Journal’s Speakeasy, “That’s where it really all started for me.”
We’re sure seeing the True Blood star shed his shirt and below “Stellllllaaaa!” in an intimate theater setting is an experience that shouldn’t be missed!
If you plan on being in Connecticut anytime between September 20 and October 12, 2013, we recommend buying your tickets now, because they are gonna sell out fast.
