Celeb Breakups Everywhere — 3 More Cute Couples Call It Quits!

Man, August 26 was not a great day for romance in Hollywood. The barrage of sad news kicked off with the announcement that Modern Family star Sarah Hyland and her beau of five years, Matt Prokop, called it quits, and the hits kept coming. Hot on their heels, three more celeb couples announced they’d gone their separate ways.

Big Bang Theory star Johnny Galecki and actress Kelli Garner announced their “amicable” split after two years of dating, via Us Weekly. Though the couple remains “best friends,” Kelli wasn’t spotted among the ones celebrating with Johnny and his trophy-winning co-star Jim Parsons at the Emmy after-parties Monday night.

Further evidence that love is dead is the news (also from Us Weekly) that The Fault in Our Stars and Divergent actor Ansel Elgort and his high school sweetie, Violetta Komyshan, are dunzo. For these two, the long distance and Ansel’s busy schedule proved too difficult for them.

And finally (we hope — the day isn’t quite through), actress/singer/model/dancer/extremely photogenic person Bella Thorne is back on the market. We never would have known it, had she not quietly confirmed it to a fan on Twitter (hat tip to E! Online), who asked if she was still with now-ex Tristan Klier. “No I’m not,” she responded matter-of-factly. Interestingly enough, Bella was also tweeting at fellow good-looking person and newly-minted singleton Ansel Elgort. Coincidence? Uh, probably, but we could ship it if pressed.

Thankfully it wasn’t all bad news today. Portlandia star Fred Armisen is reportedly dating Orange Is the New Black star Natasha Lyonne (Nicky Nichols). So maybe love isn’t completely DOA just yet!
