We’re still heartbroken over Jonathan Groff (Jesse St. James) and Zachary Quinto’s breakup — the pair split back in 2013 after at least two years together — but we’re happy to report that they seem to be amicable exes.
Jonathan and Zachary were both at the Public Theater's “One Thrilling Combination” gala in Manhattan on Monday, June 23, and the actors, along with Glee’s Jane Lynch (Sue), Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and others, performed songs from A Chorus Line.
The exes even appeared next to each other on stage, which you can see thanks to the photo above. They reportedly split last year because of distance — Zachary was often away filming — but we’re glad they were able to put their differences aside for the sake of the Public Theater. Jonathan kept it casual in a purple sweater, dark pants, and sneakers, and Zachary rocked a similar look, donning a black and grey sweater and black pants.
It doesn’t look like the former couple is back together, but given how comfortable they seem with one another we wouldn’t be surprised if a reconciliation was in the cards.
In other news, Jane recently spilled that Glee Season 6 would include a choir director for Vocal Adrenaline, and we’re secretly holding out hope that J.Groff will get to reprise his role as Jesse and come back as VA’s choir director. How amazing would that be?!
Regardless of what happens with Glee or in his personal life, we’re just glad that Jonathan seems happy!
