Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo NOT Engaged Despite Rumors Claiming Otherwise

American Idol alum Jordin Sparks set tongues wagging the other day about a possible engagement to boyfriend Jason Derulo. "Yes I'm excited for my babe to perform but that's not why I'm FREAKING OUT!" she tweeted, adding "*JUMPS ON BED & SCREAMS!!!* (sorry to the people in the room under me).”

The romantic in all of us was likely glomming on to the hope that Jason had gotten down on one knee, but a source close to Jason said not so. He told E! News, “They are not engaged at all.”

Did he have to add the “at all” part? But we digress...

Only time will tell what the jumping up and down was for, but we do know that Jordin’s very proud of her boyfriend. He recently put out an album that’s near and dear to his heart, as it’s a lot about his recovery from a fractured neck that nearly killed him in January 2012.

"It's something I spent a very long time on. I did this album during a trying time in my life because I came off a near-death experience," Jason told E! News after the iHeartRadio Live Coca-Cola summer concert series on Thursday night. "I've been working on it for a year now and it was during my recovery process that I made this album."

While Jason says there is an “undertone of my injury” on the album, he also makes sure to note there are “super lovey-dovey and fun tracks as well.” In fact, on top of plenty of other artists featured on the album, there is a duet with Jason and Jordin.

Whether or not they're already engaged, it sounds like wedding bells could, indeed, be in the couple’s future. Jason and Jordin sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s... you know the rest.

Would you like to see this couple get married?
