The Duggar family continues to deal with the fallout from Josh Duggar's sex scandal. With the cancellation of their reality show 19 Kids and Counting following Josh's molestation scandal, to new criticism after Josh's cheating scandal, the family just can't seem to stay out of the public eye for all the wrong reasons. And now Josh's sexual deviancy is having a direct effect on his sister, Jessa Duggar.

Jessa was scheduled to speak at a Southern Women's Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina on August 29, but her appearance started drawing protests and backlash from people who planned to attend.

"I would bet that there will be many women coming to your event that have been sexually molested, how do you think they will feel about this girl who minimizes it and has been taught it is her fault. You seriously need to re-think who your paid guests are!" one person writes on the event's Facebook site. "I’M NOT GOING NOW!!! P*** poor role model, liar from a bigot family. BOYCOTT!" says another protester, one who is very fond of capital letters.

Despite the public outcry, Jessa still appeared at the conference and even continued to support Josh. "You just have to keep your focus and trust God," she tells People while at the event, referring to her brother.

Speaking of Josh, he has a tough road ahead of him after admitting himself to a Christian rehab center for his supposed sex addiction. Josh will spend the next six months at Reformers Unanimous in Rockford, Illinois where he will have no access to cell phones or email, and almost no television. He will be required to pray and read the Bible constantly, perform manual labor, share a room with another male patient, and attend regular chapel services. The point of the program is to draw Josh away from sin by bringing him closer to God. We'll see how that goes, but we'd be surprised if Josh is able to stay out of trouble after he completes his treatment.
