RHoBH Star Joyce Giraud “Pissed Off” About Her Tagline (UPDATE: Brandi Responds!)

UPDATE: After Joyce Giraud complained last week about her Season 4 tagline, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star Brandi Glanville now has some harsh words for her. Surprise, surprise.

Brandi and Joyce have been feuding on Twitter a lot lately, and now Brandi is refuting Joyce's claim that Bravo would force her to use an opening-credits tagline that she doesn't like.

"News to all new Housewives: You don't have to say a tagline if you don't like it," Brandi tweets on November 8. "They don't force you to do or say anything. BS trying to save face." Ouch.

Do you agree with Brandi, or do you think Joyce may have felt pressured to read the tagline because she's not as familiar with how the show works?

Original story: New cast member Joyce Giraud has a bone to pick with the show's producers about her tagline in the opening credits.

Joyce says that it is hard to adjust to the fact that the show's producers can edit things as they see fit, along with the fact that she didn't get the final say in which tagline of hers got chosen.

"Obviously, they have to condense a lot of footage to one hour, so it’s hard to do," Joyce says about how she comes across in the Season 4 premiere. "You don’t see much of me until the third episode. I do wish that in certain scenarios you would get more of the backstory, so you can understand more."

"I’m already upset at my tagline because it’s not me, and I didn’t pick it," the former Miss Puerto Rico adds. "I’m really pissed off that they would pick a tagline that doesn’t describe me." As you may recall, Joyce's tagline is, “In Beverly Hills, they say you can never be too young, too thin, or too rich."

So why did Joyce read the tagline if she didn't like it? "They give you all these taglines, and you take them, and then they pick," Joyce says. "Here I am as a newbie, playing ball and taping what you’re telling me to tape. But I’m asking you to not pick this, and you pick it."

Part of Joyce's unhappiness with the tagline stems from being bullied for the way she looked when she was younger. "I was bullied as a young girl for these things you’re putting in my tagline: I grew up feeling ugly, feeling bad about myself for being too skinny," she explains.

Do you agree that the show should have chosen a different tagline for Joyce?
