Obviously, as the 2014 Bachelor, Juan Pablo Galavis hands out roses for a living. He also runs shirtless, sings in Spanish, coos at his daughter, and makes us swoon. That’s a full-time job, kids. But he’s not done! The Venezuelan former professional soccer player’s main job is working as a sports and entertainment consultant.
JPG’s home base is Miami, but as he explained in the Countdown to Juan Pablo special, “Right now one of my biggest clients is the museum Baseball Hall of Fame from Venezuela, so I get to travel all over the United States talking to all the Venezuelan players in the Major League Baseball.” He gets collectibles from the players, like special baseball bats, and takes them to the Venezuelan museum to exhibit.
It sounds like a cool gig, but that’s why his job requires him to travel all the time — when he’s not busy traveling for ABC, that is. JPG recently said he doesn't like Miami that much, despite having a lot of family in the area, and he'd be willing to relocate if that's what works for himself and his eventual lady friend. "I have to find somewhere that it can be easier for me to do what I do for a living and maybe for that person, what she does for a living too," he explained. "It’s got to be a conversation and a couple’s decision at the end of the day.”
So he’s flexible. And who knows, maybe he’ll do what a lot of folks do and use The Bachelor as a launchpad into a career in the entertainment industry. He should already be making close to six figures for this attempt to find a wife, and he's said to already have a net worth of about $1.2 million from his pro soccer career, as well as promoting music acts and clubs in Miami. He may not be hurting for money, but if he wants to pick up another six-figure paycheck, he could follow Trista Sutter, Melissa Rycroft, Jake Pavelka and Sean Lowe and go on Dancing With the Stars. He does love to dance!
