By now, it’s clear to fans that Juan Pablo Galavis didn’t really enjoy being the star of The Bachelor and all that comes with it. But if there was ever a hope that he and ABC would kiss and make up, it seems the ad campaign for The Bachelorette snuffed that chance out faster than you can say “Ees OK.”

Why is Juan Pabs so desolado by the network now? Look no further than the first promotional poster for Andi Dorfman’s season, which features the soon-to-debut Bachelorette with a rose and the caption “She's looking for the right Juan One." An “embarrassed” Juan reportedly isn’t laughing with the Bachelor powers-that-be on this one. An insider tells E! News the Season 18 Bachelor “feels used. He doesn’t like being the butt of a joke.”

It sounds like this is just the latest straw for the ex soccer player. “He’s still claiming he had no idea what he was getting into when he signed on to do The Bachelor,” the source explains. “He really wants to clear up all the misconceptions about him.”

If that’s the case, we have to wonder a little about his strategy, which involved forgoing pretty much every standard media appearance that usually comes in the postseason of the show. We guess Juan Pablo’s pretty busy these days, though, what with a 4-year-old to parent and a long-distance relationship to maintain.

Although he and Nikki Ferrell are still living in very different area codes, the couple is reportedly doing well. “Juan Pablo says they’re both happy,” the insider reveals.

Do you feel bad for Juan Pablo or think he needs to lighten up and learn to laugh at himself?
