Julie, 43, had plastic surgery on her eyes early in her career, in response to agent pressure. After revealing that last week, she was hit with “hurtful” and “hateful” comments from people, including “‘Way to give into the Western standards of beauty!’” and “‘You’re denying your heritage — you’re trying to look less Asian.’”
Apparently people also started speculating that she’d had more than eye work done, so Julie went back to clarify that her big reveal was the only reveal.
"For the record, I have never had a nose job,” Julie said on The Talk. “I have only had plastic surgery done to my eyes that I've already told you about. I do not have cheek implants, I did not take out fat over here to make my cheeks look more [thin]. I did not have chin surgery, I did not have a nose job. These [teeth] are not veneers. I've not done my teeth. I've never even had braces. These are all my real teeth. Nothing else have been done — ever."
She posted a video to show how makeup changes her face and accents things here and there. She does look surprisingly less Chenbot without makeup.
Julie admitted she's thought about getting a nose job since she has a "bulbous, meaty" nose. But she's very superstitious and her grandmother, who has the same nose, said "That's what we Chinese people call a good fortune nose," so she didn't change it. Julie's living with some good fortune as a TV host and the wife of CBS CEO Les Moonves, so it was probably a good call!
