The Vampire Diaries’ Julie Plec: The Show Would Be More Naked If…

The Vampire Diaries has its share of naked moments. Both Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) have paraded through the Salvatore living room in their birthday suits. If executive producer Julie Plec had her way, we’d see even more vampire flesh.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Julie answered the hypothetical question, If my show were on cable, it would be... Julie’s one-word answer? Naked. Wow.

There’s no doubt that HBO shows such as Game of Thrones and True Blood like to show some skin. TVD would feel a lot different if Klaus (Joseph Morgan) were casually giving instructions to his erstwhile hybrid army while lounging nude in bed!

Along with several other showrunners, Julie answered some more questions about the writing process. Even though she’s pulling triple duty come fall — she has Vampire Diaries, The Originals, and Tomorrow People all on The CW later this year — the busy lady wouldn’t mind adding one more in the mix. When asked which show she’d love to write for, Julie said, “Scandal. Everyone on Twitter knows of my admiration of Queen Shonda.”

Now that we’d like to see! If Julie got to write a script, we’re sure Huck and Harrison would suddenly have a bromantic moment or two.
