Warner Bros. to Follow Batman vs. Superman With Justice League Movie
Who says Marvel gets to have all the superhero-assembling fun? Warner Bros. president Greg Silverman tells The Wall Street Journalthat the studio will be getting into the game with a Justice League movie — following the 2016 Man of Steel sequel.
That officially-still-untitled sequel, commonly referred to as Batman vs. Superman, has Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman, Ben Affleck taking on the part of Batman, and Fast & Furious actress Gal Gadot playing Wonder Woman.
All three of those stars are expected to return for the Justice League pic — and Man of Steel and Batman vs. Superman director Zack Snyder will return to helm the production.
Greg didn't reveal which superheroes would be featured in this version of the Justice League, but WSJ does note that Cyborg is a strong contender, since Ray Fisher was recently cast to play Cyborg in a Batman vs. Superman cameo.
In comic books, the Justice League has taken many forms, but — beside the ones mentioned above — its most notable members include Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, the Martian Manhunter, and Green Arrow.
But don't get too excited yet — the movie will hit theaters no sooner than 2018.
