Justin Bieber’s Manager Scooter Braun to Executive Produce CBS Drama
Clearly managing Justin Bieber isn’t a full-time commitment seeing as the Biebs’ main man, Scooter Braun, has announced a brand new project. CBS has picked up another drama pilot for the upcoming television season and Scooter is one of the series’ executive producers!
Called Scorpion, the show is inspired by the real life Walter O’Brien, the man with the fourth-highest documented IQ. “It centers on an eccentric genius and his international network of super-geniuses who form the last line of defense against the complex threats of the modern age,” explains The Hollywood Reporter, a description that has up immediately thinking of X-Men minus all the nifty superpowers.
Also backing the show are Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci of Sleepy Hollowfame. Scorpion marks the sixth drama pilot CBS has picked up of late. That may sound like a lot but THR reports last year the network ordered 11 hour-long dramas for its starting lineup.
Details on Scooter’s involvement are few and far between but we’re hoping he somehow works entertainment industry magic and lands Justin a cameo on the show. We mean, he already knows how to act. Just watch his latest music video for proof of that.
