Australia’s Gold Coast mayor Tom Tate is not impressed by the graffiti Justin Bieber left behind from his last visit — and he wants the singer to return and clean up his mess, like, yesterday.
Tom recorded a video for TMZ asking Justin to fix his vandalism, including plenty of shots of the not-so-pretty graffitied walls that are now marring the beauty of his city.
“I’ve got a message for pop princess Justin Bieber,” Tom said in the video. “We love your music, but we hate your graffiti and your vandalism here in our city.”
Eloquently put. How cool is this guy? As if we needed another reason to love Australia — you know, besides the cool accents and the whole being responsible for Liam Hemsworth and everything.
So what are Tom’s demands?
“Come back and clean up your mess, or come back and sing at the mayor’s Christmas carol this Saturday on the 7th of December at Broadwater Parklands,” Tom said. “Make me a Belieber.”
While Tom’s unimpressed with Justin’s artwork, the hotel he vandalized loves it. They’ve even go so far as to say that it was a “coup for the hotel to have Justin want to paint a piece of art in appreciation of his stay.” Mayor Tom’s not buying it, though — he even flashed the number of the hotel on the screen in the video so people can call and complain.
What’s it gonna be, Justin?
