Correction: It was come to our attention that Chantel Jeffries has not been arrested five times, as we previously reported (per New York Daily News). Chantel was arrested one time in 2011 on a misdemeanor charge, but the matter was ultimately dismissed due to insufficient evidence.

There’s a lot to take in from Justin Bieber’s recent brush with the law. First and foremost, that mug shot. Second, that car. Third, that mystery girl in the photos.

Her name is Chantel Jeffries and before this 21-year-old model rode co-pilot to Justin on January 23, it’s unlikely you’d ever heard of her. Chantel’s not exactly a newcomer to the world of the rich and famous, however.

This self-described “Student. Model. Eyebrow connoisseur. Animal lover. Deep thinker” originally hails from Jacksonville, North Carolina, and now works for Wilhelmina Models.

She’s been previously linked to Diddy’s son Justin Combs, DeSean Jackson of the Philadelphia Eagles, and Bieber’s musical bud Lil Twist — which may describe how she came to join in on the fun while Justin visited Miami this week.

Chantel’s not just a pretty face, however. This girl’s got a record, according to the New York Daily News.

She’s been arrested five times including once for misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon for “stabbing another woman in the left forearm” back in February 2011 (that mug shot to the right is of Chantel at age 19). The charge was eventually dropped after Chantel paid court costs.

Her fellow party-goer Justin may not be as lucky in his legal dealings. Although he posted the $2,500 bail earlier today, he still faces charges related to today’s events.

For her part, Chantel no longer appears on Justin’s Instagram feed though she’s been busy on hers, just recently posting a photo of herself from a recent photoshoot. The Biebs goes unmentioned.
