Justin Bieber is trying to raise awareness for a serious issue after getting rear-ended by a paparazzo earlier today, August 26 — but as is the JB way, he may have put his foot in his mouth.
The singer was driving his $230,000 Ferrari in West Hollywood today when a pap got a little too close trying to take photos of Justin. No people were hurt in the accident; just the Ferrari was scratched. Daily Mail has photos of the scene that we're hoping were not taken by someone tailgating a celeb.
But here's the kicker: Justin took to Twitter right afterwards to compare his experience to that of Diana, Princess of Wales, aka Princess Di, who was killed in 1997 while her driver allegedly attempted to elude pursuit by photographers.
"There should be laws against what I just experienced. We should have learned from the death of Princess Diana," the pop star wrote. Whoa. Yes, he shouldn't have been rear-ended, and absolutely that pap was out of line — and it's not the first time a pap put Justin's well-being at risk. But after getting away with just a scratch on his luxury vehicle, the comparison seems a little… well, like something the Biebs would say.
His follow-up tweet, however, seemed a little more in line with what we think he was trying to say: "I don't have a problem with Paparazzi but when they act recklessly they put us all in danger."
Do you think Justin's first tweet was out of line, or are you just glad he's okay? Sound off below!
