But only if JT wants her!

“If Justin or his team did reach out, Janet would perform with him again in a minute.”

Original story (10/23/17 at 1:27 p.m. ET):
Now that Justin Timberlake has confirmed our teeny-bopper dreams that he'll be performing at the 2018 Super Bowl halftime show, music fans have lots of questions.
Will he be joined on-stage by any special guests? Like *NSYNC? Or... old pal Janet Jackson, perhaps?
We now sorta have an answer for at least the second part of the question...
JT confirmed on Sunday, October 22 that he's been tapped to perform at Super Bowl LII's halftime show in Minneapolis on February 4, 2018.
The reveal came via a cute video with longtime pal Jimmy Fallon, in which the guys joke about if Justin "has the time" for the show.
And barely 24 hours later, fans are already speculating that the other four guys of *NSYNC will join their lead singer on-stage — much like they did in 2013 at the MTV Video Music Awards — or that new mom Janet might do the honors.
JT and Janet performed together during 2004's infamous halftime show, where he accidentally exposed her nipple-pasty-adorned breast on live TV in what was later deemed a "wardrobe malfunction."
The term "nipplegate" was coined, and pop culture would never be the same.
But there certainly won't be any similar incidents to be had at next year's show.
“That won’t happen this time,” the 36-year-old told NBC Sports anchor Mike Tirico during a halftime appearance on Sunday Night Football.
“There was a little bit of that [discussion]. But no, Mike, that’s not going to happen.”
But that doesn't mean another duet with Michael Jackson's little sister is completely off the table.
The "Rhythm Nation" singer has not been banned from the NFL, TMZ reports, despite her having not worked with the league since the controversy 14 years ago.
"There is no ban," a spokesperson confirmed.
However, the NFL would neither confirm nor deny reports that Jessica Biel's hubby will be joined by special guests on-stage.
"We are not going to comment on any speculation regarding potential guests. There may be no guests. Along with Pepsi, we’re excited to have Justin Timberlake."
Hey, that's not exactly a hard no...
In addition to Janet and the dad of one's old boy band pals, fans have also speculated Aerosmith and/or Britney Spears could take the stage with Justin, since all three artists performed together at 2001's epic halftime show.
If Britney joins, can we just put in a request that she wear that sock on her arm again for old time's sake?
We likely won't get any hints about what the Grammy winner has up his sleeve until closer to game day, but stay tuned to Wetpaint for updates!
Super Bowl 52 airs Sunday, February 4, 2018 on FOX.
