Do you spend your waking hours wondering when Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry's hotly-anticipated book, Pride Over Pity, will finally come out? We're right there with you, and are happy to report that Kailyn's book is set to hit the shelves this April!
We don't know too much about this girl's autobiography, but we do know that it will focus on her life before the days of Teen Mom, when she grew up dealing with an absent father and an alcoholic mother. Of course, Kailyn isn't the first lady in Teen Mom land to write an autobiography, but she assures fans that her book won't be anything like Farrah Abraham's seminal classic, My Teenage Dream Ended.
"It'll be NOTHING like Farrah's as far as editing goes," Kailyn posted to her Facebook fan page (oh, the shade). "We've put a lot of work into this over the last couple of years and I think you all will be very surprised by it."
You can say that again. Kailyn went on to say that "there are a lot of things in [the book] involving addiction, rape, being abandoned by my dad … and tons of things in between."
This is the first we've heard Kailyn mention anything about sexual assault, and though she didn't directly reveal that she was a victim of rape, we're alarmed to say the least.
Sounds like Pride Over Pity tackles some pretty heavy topics, and we're definitely interested to see how Kailyn's past has made her into the woman she is today.
