Can you believe that Kailyn Lowry's son Isaac is already 4 years old?! It seems like just yesterday that this tot was in diapers, but now he's all grown up and ready to get his education on! Isaac's officially old enough to be in preschool, but unfortunately Kailyn and her baby daddy, Jo Rivera, aren't seeing eye-to-eye when it comes to their little one's schooling.
"He doesn't think that Isaac should be in school right now," Kailyn exclusively told Wetpaint Entertainment editor Lindsay Dreyer during Teen Mom 2's press day in New York City. "He thinks that he should be spending that time with Isaac. He thinks it's not completely necessary to for him to go to preschool. That's Jo's argument, and to each their own, but in my house, I want them to be in school."
Preschool is a super-important time for children to socialize with their peers and get used to being in an educational environment, and it's a great stepping stone for kindergarten. We can definitely understand why Kailyn feels like it's important for Isaac to be enrolled in Pre-K, though we're sure it's also hard for Jo to give up time with Isaac.
"[Isaac's] there Thursday through Sunday, every other week, so it's pretty often," Kailyn explains. "But [Jo's] still fighting me on that."
Looks like Kailyn still has primary custody of her little man, so Isaac's definitely spending some time in school — even if he's missing out while he's at his dad's house. Either way, Isaac has a major leg up on his fellow preschoolers — he's being raised bilingual by both Jo and Kailyn (plus Kailyn's husband, Javi, whose first language is Spanish).
Do you think Isaac should go to preschool, or is it more important that he spends time with his dad on their days together?
Oh, and by the way, does this remind anyone of the time Maci Bookout wanted Bentley to go to preschool, and Ryan Edwards reacted with complete shock and horror? Looks like we have a Teen Mom trend on our hands!
