People’s Choice Awards 2014: Kaley Cuoco Wins Favorite Comedic TV Actress

Kaley Cuoco has definitely started 2014 with a big bang. The 28-year-old actress not only got hitched on New Year’s Eve to the ever-hunky Ryan Sweeting, but she snagged herself the honor of Favorite Comedic TV Actress at last night’s 2014 People’s Choice Awards.

During her acceptance speech at L.A.’s Nokia Theatre on January 8, the fabulous Big Bang Theory actress gushed about her new hubby. After thanking her co-stars, Kaley turned to address Ryan, who was adorably watching from the audience. “This is the second best thing that’s happened to me this year,” she said of her win. “The first was marrying you, baby. I love you.” How precious!

Kaley was up against a slew of other funny gals, including Glee’s Jane Lynch and Lea Michele, Mike and Molly’s Melissa McCarthy, and New Girl’s Zooey Deschanel.

Unfortunately her co-star, Oscar winner Jim Parsons, was unable to beat out Glee’s Chris Colfer for Favorite Comedic TV Actor. But don’t get too upset — The Big Bang Theory did prove that it hasn’t lost its charm by beating out 2 Broke Girls, Glee, How I Met Your Mother, and Modern Family for Favorite Network TV Comedy. Even after seven seasons, this show just keeps on going!

The Big Bang Theory airs Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
