Kandi Burruss Considers a Courthouse Wedding — And Mama Joyce Isn’t Invited!
Kandi Burruss is going to the chapel — or is she? During this week's all-new episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta on January 19, Kandi reveals that she's considering going a less traditional route for her upcoming nuptials to fiancé Todd Tucker. And it's all because of Mama Joyce.
"I wanted to get married on February 14, Valentine's Day," Kandi revealed during the girls' trip to the vineyard. "But I doubt we're going to do an actual wedding. We'll probably just do the straight trip to the courthouse."
Say what?! No giant brontosaurus? No $50,000 Baracci dress? We can't even. But then again, Kandi does have her reasons...
"I don't know if I could walk down the aisle with my mother being there," Kandi dishes. "I don't know if she'd just jump up when they say, 'Does anybody object?' She'd be like, 'I object!' I could see it in my mind! So now I feel like, let's forget it. Let's just go to the courthouse."
Naturally, the ladies of the ATL are not on board with Kandi's plan — mostly because they're concerned there won't be a party. Don't worry, NeNe. Kandi assures the girls that there will be some kind of celebration if she and Todd do a quickie at the courthouse. Or, you know, elope in Mexico…
