Over at Kandi's studio, we get our first listen of her Gospel tune, which pretty much sounds like an R&B song with lyrics about God. Not that we're experts in the genre.
Kandi's pops, Titus, stops by and he is moved to tears by the tune. It's all about the hardships that Kandi's been through and how God helped her during those times. She recognizes the irony of her choosing Gospel, considering her involvements like Kandi Koated Nights and her sex-toy line, Bedroom Kandi, but then she points out that a bunch of preachers' wives bought all of her vibrators. There must be a lot of preachers checking their spouses' nightstand drawers this evening.
Anyway, Kandi teams up with singer Marvin Sapp, who apparently is, like, huge in the world of Gospel.
