Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss recently celebrated a successful run of her new play, A Mother's Love — and now she's working on the show's soundtrack!
Kandi and fiance Todd Tucker wrote A Mother's Love, basing it loosely on Todd's drama with Mama Joyce. It was performed in Atlanta from November 22-24, with Porsha Stewart co-starring in it. And the play was a big hit, as several of the performances sold out.
But Kandi is still staying busy with the project. On December 3, Kandi posted a photo of herself recording tunes for the play's upcoming soundtrack album. Get excited!
"Back in the studio!" Kandi captions the pic. "Creating is my favorite thing to do."
Kandi also posted a photo of herself with R&B singer Shirley Murdock, who is involved in the recording. "Morning recording session with @shirleymurdock4realfor #AMothersLoveSoundtrack," Kandi captions that one.
We're thrilled that Kandi is having so much success with this project. And we're also excited that the soundtrack will be available to purchase, which will allow anyone who couldn't catch the play in Atlanta to still hear the music.
Now we just want Kandi to tell us that the play will be available soon on DVD or will air on TV, and we'll be happy!
Do you plan to check out the soundtrack? And are you hoping the play gets a run in NYC or perhaps lands a national tour?
