The big day is almost here! Indeed, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss will finally be getting married to Todd Tucker in a few short weeks. But the big question is: Will Mama Joyce be there?
It's no secret that Mama Joyce has never approved of Kandi and Todd's relationship, and she remains quite critical of Todd. In fact, Kandi recently said that she and Todd have been considering a courtroom wedding, as it would be too tough for Kandi to walk down the aisle with her mother.
However, the couple has instead opted to have a traditional ceremony and reception, with Radar Online reporting that the nuptials will take place on April 4, 2014, which is just three weeks away. Bravo's cameras will reportedly be filming the event for a wedding spinoff.
But will Mama Joyce be there? It sounds that way. "I am not excited, but I am going," Joyce says. "It’s not my wedding. If she is happy, then I am happy for her. If that’s who she wants to marry, then I’m happy. As long as she is happy, I am happy." Uh, we're not sensing a ton of enthusiasm here.
"I hope that I can say, 'I’m glad Kandi didn’t listen to me, and this is the man she has been waiting for all her life,'" Joyce adds.
Okay, so Joyce clearly still isn't on Team Todd. However, we appreciate that she's doing her best to be supportive and will indeed attend the wedding. Fingers crossed that the couple can get hitched without a hitch!
Are you glad that Joyce will attend the wedding? And do you think she should be more supportive about such a big moment in her daughter's life?
