Kandi Burruss is about to embark on a nationwide tour of her musical, A Mother’s Love, which will last for several months, but before the Real Housewives of Atlanta star hits the stage she’s hoping to drop some extra pounds. To be clear, we think our girl Kandi looks good at any size but we know she’s been trying to get in better shape for months now.


Not too long ago Kandi stated she was going to join Mama Joyce on her Dramatic Weight Loss plan, and while that method is doing wonders for Kandi’s mom, her daughter has chosen to try something different: good, old fashioned exercise!

Kandi’s a gal with a plan, and on August 18 she shared a video from her trainer Kenya Crooks on Instagram. Kenya captioned the brief video — which shows Kandi doing crunches with weights in her hand — “I'm going to help Kandi Burruss lose 20 lbs in 30 days baby! # The Real Housewives of Atlanta meets The World's Greatest!”

Kandi reposted the video to her Instagram page and added her own thoughts on the tough workout. “Omg! He killed me this morning.... Me & my poor baby @rileyburruss. I'm 157... He said he would have me down 20lbs in 30 days. #LetsGo.”

Working out is tough, be we have total confidence that Kandi will be able to hit her goal if she keeps at it, and we love that Riley is getting in on the exercise action too. See guys, fitness can be fun!
