With everything that Kandi Burruss has going on in her life these days, sometimes we forget that this talented gal was in the biz long before Real Housewives of Atlanta made her into a reality star. But believe it or not, Kandi’s been at this for a long time and formed the female R&B group Xscape with LaTocha Scott, Tamika Scott, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, and Kiesha Miles when she was still in high school.

On an episode of Watch What Happens Live back in March, Kandi said she’d need a public apology from Tamika Scott before considering a reunion — Tamika reportedly spread rumors that Kandi was sleeping with Jermaine Dupri back in the day — but that didn’t stop her from sharing some oldschool Xscape shots on Instagram earlier today, August 26.

The photo features Kandi, LaTocha, Tamika and original member Tamera Wynn — and it’s worth a peek for those hairstyles alone! Kandi captioned the snap, “I know it's not Throwback Thursday, but here's a good Throwback Tuesday... #XSCAPE when we first started. Our name wasn't even XSCAPE yet when we took this pic. @tamera_wynn #LatashaScott #TamikaScott & [me]. Somebody asked me was that my real hair. Yes! It was the style back then to have it cut in the front & the curls stacked. LOL… Horrible! The things that were once hot… I was about 14.”

Ha! We admit that the hair is pretty epic here, but in Kandi’s defense, that was the style in the early ‘90s. The clothes are pretty solid as well.

The hair takes center stage in yet another early photo Kandi posted of the foursome, in which they all seem to be rocking the long-forgotten front curl. The RHoA star writes, “#throwbacktuesday OK, this hairstyle was hilarious! I had finger waves up with curls in the front & down straight in the back. I used to think that was hot! LOL! @tamera_wynn #LatashaScott me & #TamikaScott. #XSCAPE I was 14 in this pic.”
